Coronavirus Update

Like everyone else, Elder Council is making plans based on the Coronavirus situation.

On advice from Supreme Knight Carl Anderson, after consultation with DGK Phil Motz and Trustees Mark Kosobud and Tom Hahn, and after discussion with several other Elder Council Knights, the following decisions have been made:

  1. Super Cash lottery ticket sales after this weekend’s Masses are CANCELLED.
  2. The Charitable Giving Committee meeting scheduled for Monday March 16 is CANCELLED. (although we might hold the meeting via voice conferencing if we can get it working)
  3. The Social Meeting scheduled for Tuesday March 17 is CANCELLED.

Please keep the victims of Caronavirus, and our country, in your Lenten prayers.

God bless,

GK Bob Stucker

Pancakes for F.I.S.H.!

On Sunday, March 1, 2020, Archbishop Elder Council held a pancake breakfast. Once again, thanks to the generous parishioners of St. Gertrude it was a big success. In the spirit of Unity, Fraternity, Charity, and Patriotism, all proceeds of the breakfast were given to St. Susanna Council for the benefit of F.IS.H. (Friends In Service of Heroes). St. Susanna is fundraising in order to purchase a service dog for a veteran in need of help, and Elder Council is grateful for the opportunity to help.

At our March business meeting on Thursday, March 5, 2020, Grand Knight Bob Stucker and Deputy Grand Knight Phil Motz, presented George Denman, the Grand Knight of St. Susanna Council #10272 with a check for their F.I.S.H. fundraising effort. – Vivat Jesus!

(L to R) Abp. Elder Grand Knight Bob Stucker, St. Susanne Grand Knight George Denman, and Abp. Elder Deputy Grand Knight, Phil Motz.
