Our council would like to especially thank our sponsors for the TopGolf Event that was unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Despite the event’s cancellation and our offer of to refund their money, these excellent sponsors insisted we keep their donations to help with our endeavors to serve the community. Please consider these businesses for any future projects you may have.
Once again, the members of Archbishop Elder have been humbled by the generosity of the parishioners of St. Gertrude. Supreme Council created the “Leave No Neighbor Behind” program as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Grand Knight Bob Stucker and the leadership of Archbishop Elder Council thought one of the best ways we could lend support to this endeavor would be to hold a food drive at St. Gertrude Parish during the first weekend of the parish’s reopening. Despite a still lower than normal Mass attendance, our Council collected an abundance of food and donations for Catholic Charities of Southwest Ohio for the benefits of our neighbors in rural Clinton County.
The parishioners of St. Gertrude donated over 1,800 items of food and $720 in monetary donations. Thank you again to St. Gertrude, PGK Tom Hahn for organizing the event, and Lawain McNeal for successfully getting the word out to the community!
Pope Francis approved a miracle attributed to the intercession of Fr. Michael J. McGivney Wednesday, paving the way for the beatification of the founder of the Knights of Columbus.
