Happy Columbus Day!

The Knights of Columbus are taking donations of items for Veterans who are served by area VA facilities. Donations will be collected after each Mass on Saturday and Sunday, November 9th and 10th at St. Gertrude Church. A collection station will be placed in the parking lot entrance to the Church. These items go directly to Veterans and are greatly appreciated!
Items needed include the following:
Monetary donations are also accepted. Let’s help our area Veterans and show our support for all they have done for this country!

Oct. 5, 2019 – Archbishop Elder Knights led parishioners of St. Gertrude install the annual memorial crosses for the babies that have lost to abortion. Thank you to all the Knights, men, women, and children of St. Gertrude Parish that gave their time and strength to give witness to the reality of this tragedy. And, a special thank you to Larry Sendelbach a Knight of Northern Kentucky for his tireless and faithful efforts.

Oct. 3, 2019 – District Deputy Mark Kosobud presents the Double Star Council Award to all of the Knights of Abp. Elder Council. Grand Knight Bob Stucker, Past Grand Knight Tom Hahn, and Chancellor Pete Marcello were on to accept the award and the council thanks them in particular for their work in making this happen. Vivat Jesus!

At the unveiling of the newly restored Parade Banner, during the Business Meeting on July 11, 2019, Worthy Brother Knight John Ring explained how he constructed the cases and the various symbols he incorporated into their design. Many of our brothers asked him to write everything down so that future Knights of Elder Council would know that background.
Note: There are some imperfections and mistakes that intentionally were not fixed as a reminder that “all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” – Romans 3:23.
In constructing the cases, SK John M. Ring prayed to the Holy Spirit asking for inspiration and guidance. They were finished on May 16, 2019. He installed the restored parade banner in the cases on July 3, 2019.
SK John Ring dedicated his work on the cases to all past, present and future Worthy Brother Knights of the Archbishop Elder Council 1195.
Vivat Jesus!
