Music Director Catherine Fishlock was our guest speaker. The topic of her presentation was, Should Music at Mass Be the Music of the Masses? How music influences our actions, our attitudes, and our prayer in the House of the Lord.

Catherine spoke for about 45 minutes before answering questions from the 30 + Knights, family members, and parishioners. All were in agreement that Catherine’s presentation should have been recorded and shared with more people.

This was one of the most successful blood drives to date. Brother Knights and family members donated blood along with parishioners and members of the community.

Note: The next scheduled blood drive at St. Gertrude is Saturday, June 4, 2022.

The weekend of November 6th & 7th, the parishioners of St. Gertrude Parish donated 40 bags and boxes of personal items, toiletries, stationery products, and detergent. They also gave $1,233.00 in cash and checks.  

Nicole Comer from the VA will speak at our Rosary Social on December 21, 2021.
