PGK Tom Hahn reported that there was a good turnout for this year’s Mini-March for Life. The March began at Holy Name Church and processed to the Planned Parenthood facility on Auburn Ave. Despite the cold, the snow, the ice, and a pandemic, many gathered to pray for an end to abortion and pray for mothers, fathers, and their children. Vivat Jesus!

A Thank You From Life Forward
Abp. Elder Council received a note of gratitude from our friends at Life Forward for the new ultrasound machine:
“Knights of Columbus -St. Gertrude recently undertook an initiative to purchase an ultra-sound machine for Life Forward – Loveland. This led to the first pregnancy care center ultra-sound in that zip code or any zip code touching it. This act of profound generosity will positively impact many women and their babies and will renown to the glory of our Lord.
Thank you St. Gertrude Knights of Columbus and parishioners for your passionate investment in Lile for this generation and the next. – From your friends at Life Forward”
Ultrasound Initiative: Blessing of the new Ultrasound Machine – UPDATE
On Saturday, December 19, Fr. George Schommer, OP (Pastor of St. Gertrude and Chaplain of Abp. Elder Council) blessed the brand new ultrasound machine at Life Forward in Loveland, Ohio. It was a very fine blessing and there were about thirty five people in attendance – St. Gertrude parishioners, Life Forward members, and Knights of Columbus. Our Worthy State Advocate, Mike Felerski, District Deputy, Mark Kosobud, and our Grand Knight, Phil Motz were all in attendance. Thank you again to all of those that participated in our fundraising campaign. Vivat Jesus!
